CAT TOY SWAP

Patience & Paw’s Cat Toy Swap is popping up at the Sunnyside Library as part of its Summer Saturday Swaps series!

Bring your cats’ gently used toys and exchange them for something new-to-them. Rotating toys is a great way to refresh your cat’s enrichment, reduce waste, and keep perfectly good toys circulating within our community.

WHAT CAN I BRING?

Please bring cat toys that are:

• Freshly cleaned
• Gently used
• Unbroken and complete
• Not ripped, heavily chewed, or “chewed to the bones” 😅
• Free from urine, stains, strong odors, or excessive fur

Please do not bring heavily damaged toys or anything that wouldn’t be safe and clean enough for your own cat to use.

DO I HAVE TO BRING SOMETHING TO TAKE SOMETHING?

No! You do not need to bring a toy in order to take one.

Everything is completely free, and first-time fosters, adopters, rescuers, and cat families who could use a little extra support are especially welcome. We simply ask everyone to exercise courtesy and self-restraint so there’s enough enrichment to share with others.

WHAT ELSE IS PART OF THE LIBRARY SWAP?

August 15 is the library’s Pet, Plants & Homegoods Swap, so you may also bring gently used household items, potted plants, small electronics, kitchen items, décor, and eligible pet supplies.

The library cannot accept furniture, large electronics such as televisions, pet beds, pillows, or stuffed animals.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• The event runs from 12–3 PM.
• The final drop-off time is 2:30 PM.
• Items cannot be dropped off early or stored between swaps.
• Remaining items will be donated after the event.
• All attendees are expected to be respectful of the space, one another, and the items being shared.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Cat-loving volunteers are needed to help welcome neighbors, organize toys, keep the table tidy, and bring the community spirit!

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity in support of Patience & Paw’s Enrichment Exchange—a growing community initiative centered around enrichment, emotional wellness, reducing waste, and creating better lives for cats and the people who love them.

Interested in helping?

Please email shauna@patienceandpaw.com.

Come swap, donate, meet fellow cat people, and help us give good toys a second chance.

I can’t wait to see some familiar faces and meet a few new ones! 💛
